(Travel) Penghu Wins 7th Place in World’s Top Islands

自助旅遊界的權威指南「寂寞星球」推薦2011年全球十大最佳世外桃源島嶼，台灣的澎湖列島入選其中。
Authoritative travel guide the “Lonely Planet” recently recommended the 10 best paradise islands in 2011, and Taiwan’s Penghu Island was one of the islands selected.

台灣第一大離島群澎湖列島由90個大小島嶼組成。
Taiwan’s largest outlying island group Penghu is made up of 90 islands and islets.

獲選原因包括宜人的氣候、清澈見底的珊瑚礁、還是瀕危物種綠蠵龜的家。
The reason it was selected includes the nice climate, crystal-clear coral reefs, and it’s the home of endangered green sea turtles.

除了這些自然景觀，澎湖的人文環境也非常有價值。
Besides these natural landscapes, Penghu’s cultural environment is also invaluable.

包括澎湖的宗教信仰「馬公天后宮」也受到寂寞星球的讚揚。
The “Magong Tianhou Temple” which is part of the religious culture in Penghu was also praised by Lonely Planet.
